About
LA Tennis is proud to continue the wonderful Summer Camp tradition at the Griffith Park La Tennis Center June 15, through August 7, 2020. Summer Camp 2020 will be the 20th year at this location and it promises to be more exciting than ever. Our tennis camps are open to children from beginner to low intermediate levels ages 6 to 13 years old. Our goal is for your child to have fun in a safe and caring environment.
Our Junior Camp is for ages 6 - 13, and is from 9:00 - 4:00 pm Monday - Friday. Each day’s program will include stroke instruction, action drills and a variety of tennis games unique to our camp in a nurturing environment that enhances both their learning and fun! Campers will be divided according to their age and initial ability level.
Your child will receive training in body movement, balance, complex-coordination, spatial skills, reacting skills, tennis rules, mental skills (tactics and strategies), goal setting and mental skills, which are prerequisites for most all sports and life! Campers will also experience situational life-lessons during camp to their benefit.
Our staff will provide positive reinforcement like teaching the fun of competition, being responsible for their own improvement, focus, effort, self-discipline as well as improving self-confidence and self-esteem. “It is okay to make mistakes and that reducing mistakes is a key to success in both the classroom and in sports”.
Our staff are all highly experienced tennis teachers with over 50-years of experience and an extensive background being a top ranked competitors and USPTA rated professionals.
Safety
Our pros are trained to handle all health and security related emergencies during camp from arrival to departure! All parents/guardians are required to sign-in and out their children at drop off and pick-up!
