Ernie was a stand out singles and doubles player at Hart High School in Santa Clarita before spending five years as a sports writer and copy editor for the Signal Newspaper and College of the Canyons. A late starter with tennis, Ernie began playing at 15 years old, and has a coaching philosophy centered around holistic fitness and athletic skills which ultimately lead to quick results on the court. In two years, Ernie went from zero tennis experience to a Division 2 collegiate playing level, and maintains a 5.5 playing level to this day.
After his personal evolution as a tennis player, Ernie knows there are no shortcuts to good tennis, but there are numerous hacks that shorten the learning curve and lead to faster progression. Ernie creates tons of content for his students to review, heavily uses video analysis and old match footage to provide a customer experience that is hands-on and hard to replicate.
Landing his first tennis coaching job at the Ritz Carlton hotel, Ernie went on to serve as a staff professional and head coach at numerous tennis clubs, high school programs and everything in between.
